Wishroute Completes Prestigious Techstars Program

Staying on pace with its rocketship momentum, Wishroute recently headed north to Portland, Maine to take part in the prestigious Roux Institute Techstars Accelerator program. Created by Techstars, a global network of founders, corporate partners and experienced mentors that helps entrepreneurs succeed, the Roux Institute Accelerator works with startups focused on building expertise at the intersection of humans and machines in areas that will revolutionize how we live and work – including AI, life sciences and health, and data and analytics. A satellite campus of Northeastern University, The Roux Institute is a new innovation hub devoted to deepening and expanding the digital economy of Maine.

Wishroute was one of only 10 companies selected to take part in the program’s inaugural cohort, which represented companies hailing from Chile to Seattle in the areas of healthcare technology, SaaS and artificial intelligence. In order to reap the benefits of a fully immersive experience, Wishroute’s core team moved to Portland for the duration of the 13-week accelerator program, which culminated in a series of pitch presentations (also known as “Demo Day”) that took place on December 9, 2021.

In her pitch, CEO Jess Lynch speaks to the current challenges that consumer-facing companies experience when encouraging customers to make their product part of their daily routines. She introduces the value proposition of text message conversations with a real human as a means of solving this problem and keeping customers engaged and loyal – all while staying on track to meeting their goals. She then highlights Wishroute’s unique combination of implementing both highly-skilled coaches and a proprietary SMS platform, leading to increased ROIs from customer engagement campaigns. Jess closes by explaining how Wishroute’s platform can also benefit businesses outside of the wellness app and product subscriptions space, including subscription boxes, eLearning, health and finance applications, and more.

Says Jess of the experience: “Now that Demo Day has wrapped, we’re very focused on continuous improvement and consistent execution. Techstars helped us begin a new chapter for Wishroute – one of expedited growth, alignment, and momentum. We’re excited about the positive impact we’re having on our customers, the new features we’re adding for them each month, and the excitement of prospective customers with which we're discussing Wishroute. Our team has grown and continues to expand, making Wishroute an exciting and mission-driven place to work, and we’re so thrilled to see what kind of a continued positive impact we can have in 2022!”

Wishroute’s team is extremely grateful for the connections they established with business leaders and investors through the Techstars program, and would like to give a special shoutout to their team of mentors, including David Ross and Greg Mancusi-Ungaro (Sales), Monica Wilczak and Ale Koretzky (AI/ML), and Andy Palmer and Jeremy Barron (Business Strategy). The team would also like to thank the Northeastern Roux Institute for providing access to their partner network, students and faculty, in addition to the support offered throughout the program. The Wishroute team is proud to say that they not only achieved and exceeded their goals for the three-month program, but also each benefited personally and professionally. The momentum continues with many more exciting goals to accomplish this year!

Throughout the course of Techstars’s 13-week Roux Institute Accelerator, Wishroute grew stronger as a team thanks to the ongoing support from the program’s top-notch mentors.
