Team Spotlight - Meet Howie Rosenblatt
Hey Howie, when did you start with Wishroute?
I joined Wishroute in January 2022!
Tell us a little about yourself. What’s your professional background?
I have an engineering degree from Cooper Union in NYC and I have spent most of my career working in software startups. In addition to being a Cooper alum, I teach entrepreneurship as an adjunct professor at Cooper. I also have an interest in the business side of tech, so I completed an MBA from Babson. I enjoy growing startups that are working on challenging problems that can make a difference in people’s lives across industries, including health care, personal finance and now personal wellness. Prior to joining Wishroute, I headed the engineering team at Edmit, helping families navigate the financial challenges of the college decision process.
How about on a personal note. What are some cool things to know about you?
I enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling, playing tennis and spending time with friends and family. I mentor and support student startups. And I have coached over 500 youth baseball games.
What do you do for Wishroute in your position?
I head the engineering team at Wishroute. I work day to day with the engineering team to make improvements to Wishroute’s core product while continuously looking for ways to improve our software development processes. I am also building a pipeline of engineering candidates as we grow the engineering team.
What made you choose to join Wishroute?
I was attracted to the mission of Wishroute to support people in their journey to improve their personal wellness, especially during these difficult times.
What do you like most about working at Wishroute?
It’s great to be part of a dedicated, collaborative team that is working together to make a difference.
What’s one wellness goal you’ve set for yourself in 2022?
I started a daily morning yoga practice at the beginning of COVID. I’d like to keep it going even as things open up, and incorporate strength training as well. As is the Wishroute way, one day at a time.
